Qatar and its Neighborhood Drama

Shit has been going down amongst the Gulfies. Qatar has agreed to a list of demands made by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain which, if actually come to fruition, will deal a heavy smack right across the Muslim Brotherhood’s face. Gulf capitalists are pretty skeptical on whether Doha will come through. The reason they feel this skepticism is because if Doha does agree in full, then there will be a huge reversal of about 10 years worth of expensive efforts to create a web of influence across the Middle East and North Africa. Basically, Qatar has to reign in their media bashing of their neighbors and expel MB members from their country. The entire list of demands are very complex, though, so they haven’t all been revealed. Read more on the Arabian peninsula’s drama at Foreign Policy.
